WhatsApp Messaging Platform Down for an Hour

Hello, everyone! In my last article, I briefed about what are the 5 most important things that you need to consider while doing Digital Marketing, today I’ll be updating you’ll with the current and breaking news about WhatsApp.

People are using WhatsApp extremely in order to communicate with one another and to share a large amount of information in the form of text messages, images, audios and videos and much more. It allows users to share a status update for 24 hours which are then disappeared from the feed and also an about section where the status update can be made permanent or for more than 24 hours.

WhatsApp is owned by the giant social media platform Facebook and is a messaging platform which allows users to send and receive text, images, audios, videos, documents and much more. On Thursday evening and Friday morning, the messaging platform was down and people were not able to send and receive messages to each other. This is the second time that the messaging platform has gone down within a few weeks of time. Last time, WhatsApp was done on November 3rd globally and again it went down on Friday morning.

Due to such an outage, many people thought that there was a problem with their internet service provider and many assumed that it was the issue with the device but restarting either the internet or the device didn’t help and it was a problem from WhatsApp’s end. WhatsApp is used by over 1.5 billion users all over the world and this outage leads to people suffer. As soon as people started experiencing this, they took on to Twitter and started sending out tweets to WhatsApp. With people experiencing this problem all over the globe, the hashtag “#WhatsAppDown” started trending on Twitter.

Currently, WhatsApp is working fine and it isn’t experiencing any problem. Though WhatsApp authorities are yet to confirm the reason for the outage that made people suffer in sending and receiving information be it, text or multimedia.
